For his original job as a designer for Kronick Magazine, Photographer Paul “Animal” Chan set out to take photos of rappers, trying to get anything better than the typical stock photos he was provided. But unbeknownst to Animal, he just so happened to be documenting the golden age of hip-hop. So Last Monday, Paul gathered his favorite hip-hop portraits and put them on display over at Brooklyn’s Kinfolk 94 for his brand new art show, “OFF SAFETY.” See how the event went down and check out what the artist himself has to say. Presented by The Hundreds, Be Street, Elsewhere, and Pugilista.
